Washi Tape, Tea lights and tiny bags...

When you get a call to help out...well, that's what you do!!!

I made sweet little shower favors for my niece's baby shower.  I saw an idea in Pinterest (of course) and just went with it.

1.  YOU NEED CANDLES...I bought a bag of 100 tea lights at the party store (the kind with the silver liner and they don't look so decorative; but that's OK... we're going to make them pretty!)

2.  GET SOME WASHI TAPE...most craft stores have this and they come in ALL sorts of patterns and colors. I picked BLUE, because IT' A BOY!

3. ADD the tape to the tea lights..

4. Place them in a cute little bag.  I chose 2 per little blue bag because they are going into a bag with a bath sponge and bath gel with a tag that says:  From Ashley's Shower to Yours

Viola!!  1/2 way done with the favors.

You could do this for party favors, teacher gifts, as thank you gifts, or WAIT!! Maybe I'll make myself a few!! HAHA

Until next time..Happy Sewing!

Tuffets & Baseball

N A T S, Nats, Nats, Nats...whoo!!  That's what is chanted at the Washington Nationals baseball stadium when they want the crowd to cheer on the team to a win.

We've been going to the new stadium since 2008 and I've even considered looking for a small condo there since we have season tickets for the next few years.

My love for baseball inspired this latest tuffet.  Ode to the Nats...

It GLOWS IN THE DARK TOO!!

I am thinking of doing another one using the 10 year patch and maybe different fabrics.

Hope you enjoyed this little sports tuffet story as much as me!

Look for classes coming to a local quilt shop or guild near you!  You can also inform your LQS you REALLY want to make one of these.  If you happen to mention my email info to them (bogeyinspired@gmail.com), well I would be tickled pink and be very appreciative.

Have a great weekend!

Little Tuffet Pin Cushion...BOO!

Just in time for Halloween; this is my first Little tuffet pin cushion. I got a kit, cut a few festive strips of fabric, found some drawer knobs, a little button and this is how it came together.

There are a few lessons learned and modifications I'll make for the next one, but overall this is a fun project for all ages and took about 3 hours; which means most could probably finish sooner!  Hah

Kits soon available on my website: www.bogeyinspired.com

Have a great day!
